Aluminum Engine Covers

The Aluminum Engine Cover kit includes pop up latches and fiberglass mat insulation. It also includes a material to form a gasket around the engine access area. The original wooden engine cover weighs in at 23.4 lb with no insulation. The Aluminum Engine Cover tips the scale at 11.0 lb and then add 4.4 lb for the insulation. The Aluminum Engine Cover kit with insulation will help reduce engine and road noise. It also reduces heat from the engine getting into the cockpit area. There is the added benefit of being much more fire resistant. The pop-up latches are quick and make removing the cover a snap. DJ-AEC-1 cost is $245 plus shipping. DJ-AEC-2 is an Aluminum Engine Cover that is raised 2” to clear the air cleaner when using a high-rise manifold. DJ-AEC-2 cost is $260 plus shipping.
