Aluminum Cabinets
Aluminum Overhead Cabinets are made to order by the inch – you tell me how long you want the cabinets. It takes around a month to complete a full set. I can have them powder coated in any color you choose from a color chart. Add a week for powder coating. The original medium sized wooden cabinet that is installed above the stove weighs in at 36.6 lb. The same sized Aluminum Cabinet tips the scale at 19.6 lb. Another problem with the wooden cabinets is that over the years they have gotten wet. The particle board they are made from is starting to dissolve and the glued joints are starting to come apart. The Aluminum Overhead Cabinet set will reduce the weight of the coach by about 70 lb and that is up high weight. Reducing this weight will help reduce the “Rock and Roll” experience. You supply your own cabinet doors. Standard GM floor plan layout: DJ-AOHC-1 34” Rear Cabinets X 2. DJ-AOHC-2 60” Kitchen Cabinet. (See pictures) DJ-AOHC-3 68” Dinette Cabinet. DJ-AOHC–1,2,3 standard layout will cost around $1600 plus $300 for powder coating. I have to estimate the cost because the price of aluminum varies. You will receive a more exact estimate when you order. DJ-AOHC-4 a special over the range cabinet designed to flush mount a new style vent fan. (See picture). Cost around $450. A popular layout is 2 DJ-AOHC-1 cabinets for the rear and 2 DJ-AOHC-3 cabinets along with a DJ-AOHC-4 over the stove. The slightly shorter cabinets provide room for tall Flexsteel style seats to be used and reclined.
