you are replacing the choke you should remove the old choke heater and
replace it with a block off plate and new gasket. This will
eliminate the problem of an exhaust leak in this area. Also cleans
up the top of the manifold.
Due to heat and corrosion it is a good idea to
coat the side of the gasket facing the manifold with Permatex ULTRA
Copper Gasket Maker Item 81878.
